Reasons for genital hair removal
I know that we always think that women are the ones who should take care of their bodies and us men are just supposed to be dirty, sweaty, smelly and unkempt. That is a “real” man. Right? Well for better or for worse the rules of the game have changed, fellows. You don’t want to go bush-whacking, so why do you think she does? It’s just not acceptable to have a big garden down below anymore.

Genital hair removal cream
One thing you can do to get in on the male genital hair removal movement that is sweeping the nation and the world these days is to go buy some cream. Of course this is only a temporary option. If you want to look into laser removal then that’s your prerogative, but I am only dealing with short term solutions. It’s better to dabble in the shallow end before you dive into the deep end.
Even though genitals hair removal cream is marketed towards women I don’t see why they wouldn’t work on men too. I mean our skin and our hair is made up of the same components. So you may want to look into Veet Sensitive or Veet Bikini Line. Just tell the cashier it’s for your hairy girlfriend. You will both have a laugh and then you can bug on out of there and run home to your bathroom for the experiment. There is also the perennial favorite: Nair. I have a friend who used this and he said it nearly burnt his balls off. And it smelled really weird on top of that.

Shaving genital hair
The bottom line is that you will
probably have to do a little experimenting because there is not that
much great information out there on male genital hair removal.
Shaving is of course also an option. Be very careful. Some say that
you may develop scars, pimples, rashes, etc. So, that’s why I give
the caution of being extremely slow-going until the point when you
feel very confident in yourself. You’re really on your own here. We
all know how sensitive that area can be.
Impress the ladies
In the end if you can navigate through some of the new complexities you are facing, you will truly come out a winner. After that it’s just a matter of normal upkeep, which should typically be a lot easier than your first initial shaving or cream treatment. However you decide to do it I’m sure you will only get better with time. And never forget that it will really impress the ladies. They love to know that genital hair removal has been practiced beforehand. That shows a lot of forethought and a zest for life.

It is personal hygiene that one should must have,,,it should not b for the sake of sex or removing ur clothes in front of ur ladies..
Hair does not grow in all at once. Hair actually grows in cycles. Thus, it would be necessary for multiple sessions.
UMMM..I don't think so..I'm gonna pass on this one...My lady likes me au naturale which I "Groom " daily with a bar of sandalwood soap...considering my hirsute challenged pate, I'm gonna keep all the hair I can...Larry
Great hub from a different perspective. I like a man who is willing to clean it up too and don't forget those hairy armpits. If you don't want to shave it off or use Veet to get rid of everything then cut it down low. Clipping it with scissors eliminates the pimples etc.
Hey, its a must for a man to shave down that pubic air especially if they want a little company in that area. Not only is it more appealing I personally thinks it makes "IT" look bigger. My hubby said he finds that if he uses a woman's razor it curves with him and leaves it silky smooth!
Hmmm...something important to do and really liked this hub because it gave me some great tips. Very informative!
I agree with the male grooming as it does make the area look a whole lot more respectable but it is very uncomfortable,i would describe it like walking around with 2 little hedgehogs in your underpants/shorts
What's good for the ladies is good for the guys, too!
I've been doing my pubic region for 20 years. It looks cleaner and does not smell like it did when you wh sweat. I am also doing my arm pits for the last couple of years. I don't smell much, a greater choice of deodorant and no marks left on my shirts. Highly recommended.
I work in a very warm enviroment, and got really tired of hot, sticky balls with a beared. I shaved it all off clean, and am now much more comfortable at work, home, and sleep. At first, the wife thought I was crazy, but soon found that sex was much cleaner. Now she trims her bush, becouse lets face it, who wants to floss while doing oral sex?
Here's what works for me. I first shower with cold water only. That shrinks my boys and makes the skin very tight. Then I use a disposable razor and shaving cream to get the smooth look. Use an upward stroke. Been doing this for years and no cuts yet. But if your hair is long and you've never shaved before, you probably should trim it close as you can with an electric razor/scissors first.
Oh my goodness NO!!! I would never want to go near my man if he were to shave off all of his hair down there! I love manly men and naturally hair is part of the attraction! I couldn't stand the thought of being with a guy who has some kind of bikini line type thing going on down there! I have no problem with a little trimming if he really deems it neccessary, but oh my goodness no! I don't want a man who's bald down there, it's a huge turn off for me!
For me I use Xpressive Wet/Dry to get these hairs off! I hate crotch hair or pubic hair. I swear I could smell myself when I had the hair and sure don't miss that terible smell. Also as have stated elsewhere the smooth feeling is so great! Love wearing panties against my hairless crotch! But please by all means those going to get their Epilators going after they read this, caps off Tweezer head, stretch skin taught, slow speed and move slowly. Caps on, moving fast and higher speed cause some real pain, believe me have been there and learned my lesson well!!! Longer hair and near the ole sack hold epilator above skin to catch hair or shave first and wait about 2 days. I hold above cause I hate shaving, waxing or depilatories. That stuff just burns my skin. Will also say is best to make sure area is real clean before epilating. I always use my Xpressive in the bath. Will also recommend Caress or Dove since both moisturize and aren't irratating to skin as other bars are.
I liked this genital hair removal hub, great tips for men and wonderful advice, so well delivered. As a girl I found your tips helpful as well. Nair does stink, glad you added that fact, that smell tends to linger. Thanks and Peace :)
I don't think the epilator, or the little machine someone mentioned in the beginning can help to remove the pubic hair. It could be extremely painful. Unlike the leg hair, they are meant to be removed and less painful. I'd prefer to use razor or cream, make it remove naturally.
Yanking hair out by the root isn't permanent. It'ill grow back, & destroys the shape of the root so that if you want electrolysis it'll be less fast to act on the hair. Shaving doesn't alter roots, so'll not change the time it takes for electrolysis to work. Laser works very well & hair becomes lighter, finer, & eventually disappears with subsequent treatments. Removal, when the hair'll not come back, requires thought, 'cause if fashion [or whim] changes, "you're what you are" down there, & everywhere else your hair's "gone"!
Just started completely shaving my genital area. Ouch. What creams are there that are safe to use "down there"?
I emailed Nair, Nads and Veet asking which of their products were suitable for male genital hair removal. They all said, "We do not have any products that are suitable for use on such sensitive areas, and strongly advise you not to use our products on that area." So far the only cream I have been recommended is Revitol. I ordered some but it has not arrived yet. It is supposed to be suitable for the genitals. Time will tell, I will let you know. Regards, Stuart.
Stuart who recommended revitol? I have seen similary positive reports about them and very mixed even worrying reports on the others ie veet etc. I just wandered whether unlike veet etc revitol said to you 'yes you can use it down there'. Presumably you contacted them as well?
I'm looking at alternative means to shaving as it's tedious and dangerous. I am likely to try waxing but this revitol could be an alternative option so please let me know how you get on. Obviously I am looking at removing the hairs on my genitals and can trim accordingly the hair above the penis. I'd be curious to know if you successfully used the revitol to remove the few hairs on the lower underside of the penis as well.
Let me know fella :)
Mine has come within a couple of days from ordering!
Any news Stuart!?
Well I have done two test on the upper part of my legs and it has had zero effect.
Hopefully it hasn't been worse for you Stewart and killed you as you seem to have vanished.
I'll be emailing revitol me thinks :(
I use Veet on the genitals and it works fine. Becareful with it as it is chemical, avoid your scrotum (unless you want to test chemicals around your sperm production...) and before you slap it all over the place make sure you give it a test and place a small dab on your genitals/pubic areas and wait 2 mins to see if you have burning or not. Personally, I find it to be more of a discomfort than a burn as there is no pain but you should wait 8-10 hours before you do anything sexual (including masturbation).
As for lazer.... yeah I'm not going to have a doctor of either gender blast my manlihood with a lazer or stick a needle in it for electrolosis. Don't be lazy, find a good shaver or use a cream. If you're gong to use Veet like I am, remember you must wait a minimum 72 hours in between usage (hair does grow back in this time unfortunately). I wait 5-6 days to make sure there is no rashing or dangers of overuse. Also make sure to cover your hairs in the cream in a thick enough layer that the hair will be removed. If you use a minimum amount you will likely get no results
My boyfriend was hairy down there, but I got him to shave it some for me. A little fuzz can be stimulating though. I was neatly trimmed, and I made sure he was too. We experimented and his grew back a bit eventually but I still trim it a bit sometimes. I've had experience in waxing, so I gave him a bit of that too. It's a bit of a turn on for me, knowing that he is walking around with the pattern I trimmed down there. I got him to wear panties on our vacation in Dominican Republic too! It was awesome! The artistic trimming, waxing, and the panties were like my way of marking my territory and bonding with him.
I have had my the hair on my cock, balls and pubic area on a regular basis for 20 years. It makes my cock look bigger and I love the feeling of being smoothe. It is difficult to not get a hard on during waxing but I just go with it and most waxers dont mind Solme have even commented that having it hard when waxing makes it easier to see the hair and easier to apply the wax. It is difficult to stay hard for the entire hour without you know, but if that happens it is no big deal either.
My g/f likes me shaved. She shaves and the feeling of two bare pubs, with a little massage oil rubbed on them, rubbing together during sex makes for a wonderful feeling. I'm 54, so you can teach an old dog new tricks!!!
I had my chest and back lasered a few times and was curiouds to try it down there. The place i was at hadmale genital hair removal in the price list so i figured they were obviously ok with it. the price list had many different things that also had me guessing so i settled on the buttocks first to try it after I got my back and shoulders done. It didnt hurt to much but I would recommend going to a place that uses the latest laser with the cooling head on it , these cool the surface as it zaps you and is just such an improvement I would never suffer one of the older types that do not have this feature, I therefore recommend laserclinics australia, look for your local shop they are a chain that operates and is of a high standard with very competitive prices and deals. The first time i got my buttocks done it worked very well, better than my chest and back i thought, I had a folow up treatment in 4 weeks as recommended and the regrowth was very notably reduced by well over half on the first go. I had a very hairy bum too. the second time i got it done I got my anus done too, this is the area inside your bum crack and down to your balls, it was an extra60 dollars but it was well woth it and it makes me feel completely cleaner down there. I shaved my scrotum prior to this first treatment and I was allowed to have a test shot' where the therapist gave me a shot on my scrotum to test if i could handle the pain. it was pretty intense but bearableand after the whole scrotum was done it felt a bit tight n kind of mild sunburnt sensation that went back to normal quickly. the second time i got my scrotum done, the area inside my bum crack right to the my balls was done and I must say compare with my back and chest the intial two sessions really seem to have done a great job. after a week or two your hair looks like it is growing back but it is just the stuble growing out, and in another week when it has the skin is like a babies bum.You have absolutely no ingrown hairs or nasty chemical burns or shave rashes that tend to look worse than the hair does I think. I once dated a girl that used to always shave but the shave rashes were an un attractive side effect. would reccommend laser over all other treatments
I'm a fairly hairy guy and have tried it all. I have finally found what I consider to be the best solution for me. I purchased an Emjoi Emagine epilator. I have used it on my entire body. Some areas hurt more than others but once you get the hair removed, maintenance is a breeze. For my back I attach it to the top part of a microphone boom and can adjust it to reach. I keep my back, shoulders, upper arms, hands, underarms, feet toes, legs (all the way up), butt, anus, perineum, scrotum, and areas around the sides of the front genital area hair free. Then I use thinning scissors to keep my chest, stomach, and above the genital area trimmed. You just do a little at a time until you get it the way you want and use hydrogen peroxide to disinfect after each session. After the first time or two, you will find that it is easy to maintain and is a dream come true for those who want to manage their hairiness in private. This epilator scared me at first because it is noisy but it is amazing. I can use it in the most sensitive areas and it never grabs the skin. You can hold your skin taut and safely epilate the scrotum, all around the anus, or anywhere else with no fear. There is no stubble and the hair takes quite a while to grow back even if you stop using it completely. I find myself going over the areas every week or so and barely feel a thing. I even use it on my ears but always put earplugs in first.
neither males nor females should shave or trim pubic hair. Mother nature put it there for a reason so it should not be interfered with.
Most men find women with a hairy bush to be a turn on and distinguishes a woman from a young girl.
Hairy- mother nature also makes grass grow but a lawn needs to be managed or it becomes a jungle!
As for saying most men like a hairy bush... Really?! I would say it is quite the opposite in most cases.
I've shaved my nether regions since my late teens and have recently purchased and epilator. I'm trying to build up the courage to use it on my man parts. I like that area smooth and clean but the problem with shaving is you have to do it everyday or you get stubble. I get my back waxed professionally but I'd prefer to do my privates privately. If the epilator is too painful for the genitals then I might consider laser, i can get over the embarrassment factor, I just don't like the idea of paying to get several treatments.

Well, Alex, actually, there is a little machine out there (I think I have one in a drawer somewhere) that actually yanks the hair out by the clumps....it is originally intended for legs but who knows, it might work on your ahemmmm. Yes, go for it. It will be more permanent and the initial shock of having your living daylights yanked out of you will only be once, because like I said, it should eliminate the root, and be permanent eventually, if that is what you want. Of course, you didn't mention the HOT WAX either...but that also exists. Actually, I had NO IDEA that men were also doing this...I thought it was only a woman's concern...the hair removal...
