Losing body fat is for many people a hard thing to do. When you grow older, your body will contain more fat and losing fat will be much harder than when you were young. Your metabolism is changing and you are probably not doing as much exercises as before. But there is an answer for losing weight and fat and you already took the first step by searching the Internet for this question. You started realising that you are not happy with your body and you want to do some work for it to fast loose weight. Actually it is not very hard to do this but many people just don't want to change their eating behaviour or start doing exercises. Too many times people only exercise one bodypart instead of their whole body. This will indeed increase muscle building but will not loose body fat.

Losing Body fat

Monitoring your eating pattern

The first step in losing body fat is to monitor your eating pattern. Write down what you are eating on a regular day and look up how many calories you are consuming. Their are many charts on the Internet which can help you with this. After you have written everything you have to decide how many calories you want to reduce on your diet. Most people reduce their diet with 500 calories but that is completely up to you. After this you have to decide how many calories you want to loose by doin exercises. You can also look this up on another chart which you will easily find on the Internet.

Changing your eating pattern

When you have written down the calories you are consuming, it is time to reduce your intake or change your eating pattern. I am always amazed how many people don't know how to eat healthy. They rather eat pizza or hamburgers, chips, or fried chicken and more, instead of some healthy vegetables. If you don't know how to cook healthy, search for some recipes that will teach you. You could even decide to eat pizza or hamburgers one time a week and eat healthy the rest of the week.

Another fat consumer is sugar. Everybody loves sugar and we putt it in our coffee or tea. Try reduce the amount of sugar you put in your coffee and tea and you will be amazed how many calories you loose.

Losing body fat by doing exercises

Reducing calories is not enough to loose weight. We need to do some exercises to burn fat and train our muscles. Many people make the mistake by doing exercises with only one part of their body. They want to train their abdomen and neglect the rest. Doing exercises is a great way for training muscles, however it is not a good way for burning fat. To burn some fat we need cardio exercises for example like swimming, jogging and cycling. You have to find something you like and start doing it frequently. You should do cardio at least one or two times a week. You could also mix by doing exercises one day and cardio on the other. A good work out should endure at least 30-45 minutes. Everything less will not be enough to efficiently loose body fat. What also helps are small things like walking instead of cycling, cycle instead of using your scooter.

Don't stop doing what you are doing!

Losing body fat is not the hardest thing about losing body fat. What is more difficult is keep up with what you are doing. Many people stop doing exercises and stop eating healthy when they have achieved their goal. They start eating again and stop doing ecercises. Your body will again accunulate the fat it collects but now even faster than before. This is called the up en down effect and will be stronger everytime you do this. So keep up with your exercises and don't stop when you have achieved your goal. If you think you can't do this on your own, you could always contact your doctor who will give you advise what to do and where to do it.
